The Lootlist
This system provides a possible rule-set and an online tool for the loot distribution in regular groups (guilds, linkshells, etc.). The theoretical system behind Lootlist is also known as “Suicide Kings”.

Why do you use it?
Our guild used a DKP System aswell as a loot council distribution. Both are established ways to handle raid loots but they all lead to some kind of drama in the long run.
- With DKP there is no way for new members to close up to the high ranking players with a longer history and “gaming the system” was a teamkiller.
- Loot council on the other hand puts all the pressure onto the raid lead and a lot of decision has led to new discussions and jealousy.
The System
I’ve read about the Suicide Kings Itemlist but couldn’t find a good online tool to organize our loot lists. As guildmaster it is my responsibility to motivate my group of players with a fair loot distribution. First using some sort of spreadsheet, I started to code an online app for my guild.
- self-hosted Domain
- using PHP, Smarty Template Engine, jQuery Javascript and mySQL as Database
- developed as a core system with easy to setup instances to support new lists / guilds
